This is the latest release here at LFDD Records. Its a split release with Doombringer Records from Indonesia (Esa from Zudas Krusts's label) and Kruusthornier records also from Indonesia.

The three bands are from various parts of Indonesia and all play ripping hardcore punk (though various sub-genres as described in the flyer above). Im pretty stoked to be able to help with this, but all credit is due to Esa for organising the whole thing.

Im selling copies for $3.50 (plus postage and paypal fees, in aussie currency), you may find it cheaper through the other two labels if your outside Australia.

Ive also got to mention that the 3 songs Zudas Krust have on this tape are fucking awesome!!!

The world is a pretty fucked up place for many people but here in (Western) Australia we have it really good (Maybe not so much with the floods over east at the moment). Id even suggest that we have the most luxurious lifestyles of any nation in the world, what with our booming mining economy, LCD TVs, Apple iPods, Commodore Utes etc and it really pisses me off how so many people here not only take all this for granted, but also whinge about stuff that is basically bullshit (ie most of the shit you see on A Current Affair and Today Tonight).

Refugees and Asylum Seekers come to Australia from countries where their lives and the lives of their families are under pretty much extreme threat of violence for many different reasons. Many of these people are ethnic minorities from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Sri Lanka who are persecuted by their ruling governments/warlords. They arrive by the only real means they have of getting to Australia, by boat. This is not illegal as Australia has laws that protect people who arrive here on our shores if they are seeking refuge or asylum from persecution. We hear a lot of negative media coverage and political propaganda about asylum seekers and a lot of it seems to point to an extreme xenophobic fear of our country being overrun by ungrateful 'illegals' who want to steal our jobs and take advantage of our ‘generous’ welfare system. I can only feel compassion for these people, because I know that if it were me and my family in a similar situation, I would do whatever I could to get them to a safe environment. Unfortunately politicians can get a lot of political mileage from ignorants and racists by representing refugees in a negative light, which is further exasperated by the commercial media broadcasters. These are real people, just like you and me in most ways. They are generally locked up without proper legal representation and treated worse than rapists, murderers and other criminals. At the end of the day, we are all human, and we all live on this place we call earth, so why can’t we open our hands, hearts and minds?

Minkions do a more US HC/skatethrash sound.

Discharge - Why - Nothing i could write here would do this record justice, probably the best punk record ever. Discharge combine powerful lyrics about the shitty state of the world with cracking guitar and bass riffs and the original d-beat drum rhythm. This was their first LP and in my opinion, the very best Discharge release. Havoc Records reissue. $15

Discharge - Hear Nothing, See Nothing, Say Nothing - The 2nd LP continues the powerful hardcore punk sound and awesome lyrics from the 'why' 12". Totally great, classic stuff. This record influenced almost every hardcore, crusty, grind and anarcho punk band since. Havoc Records reissue. $15

Kah Roe Shi – Shi CD. Heavy, crusty hardcore from Malaysia. These guys sound like Tragedy, From Ashes Rise and a little His Hero Is Gone, without sounding too generic. The lyrics are really good and deal with a lot of shit happening in Malaysia and the world in general, they are all typed up in a really great little booklet with explanations and other info. This is totally DIY and comes in a screen-printed cloth bag type cover instead of the usual crappy plastic shit. Refreshingly great recording which also includes some live footage on the CD.

Hey, all set for a split 7" release of The Craw with new Perth crusty hardcore act Deathgrenade. Studio time is booked in for mid Jan for both bands, so if all goes well will hopefully have it all together in March 2010. keep those ears cleaned out for further news. Psyched about this as vinyl is my preferred medium to listen to and this will be the first vinyl release from us here at Live Fast Die Drunk Records. both bands have a myspace you can google. More studio recorded tracks from The Craw. Currently only available as a demo CDr but looking to release properly on vinyl in the future. With this one the music was heading a bit further away from the thrash metal influences towards thrashy hardcore. same shitty outlook in the lyrics.

A 4 way split release of Perth punk bands The Lungs, zxspecky, The New Husseins and Surprise Sex Attack. Includes 5-6 unreleased tracks from each band. Each band got a 1/4 of the CDs. The Lungs play really fucked up oldschool 70s type punk with some UK streetpunk and Aussie yobbo pub rock influence, crazy live show. zxspecky have a self-described 'high speed distorto pop' sound, catchy and pretty damned easy to listen to. The New Husseins are a straight up, ball tearing, punk rock machine. Ripper songs. SSA play fast streetpunk with a dash of reggae/ska (and a cover of folk classic 'Dirty Old Town').

This was a pretty limited debut release from The Craw that is now Sold Out unfortunately. It was recorded at Cellar Sessions Studios in mid 2008 by Maxx Ducker. Has a pretty heavy thrash, crusty punk sound. . Includes 'Shut The Fuck Up' a cover of Perth's favourite terrorcore band The Magoos. It follows in the tradition of bands like Rupture and Nailed Down with total misanthropic, non-PC, generally fucked up lyrics.

Debut release. It was recorded in a rehearsal room by Fritz (New Husseins) for free, mixed and mastered by a friend in Denmark. Its got a bit of a streetpunk mixed with old hardcore sound to it with some raw reggae/ska riffs mixed in (and not in the usual pop skapunk way or anything like that fuck ya).

OK, so I'm gonna start by putting up all the old releases starting with the first release we put out - WA Decay...Noise From Across the Desert. (LFDD001). 500 CDs pressed. SOLD OUT.

This CD was released back in mid to late 2007. We decided to release this CD as a bit of a collection of all the rad Western Australian punk bands that were either still playing or had played in the last 5 or so years. Came up with 29 tracks that covers a pretty broad spectrum of the punk genre; from hardcore to streetpunk to garage to rockabilly. Tracklist is as follows:

“Two scumbags got together and decided that they wanted to create a compilation CD of recent Punk, Rock and Hardcore tunes from Western Australian bands. After a shitload of fucking around asking bands for songs, sorting out artwork and deciding on a track listing (a lot harder than was imagined) they have produced "WA Decay... Noise from Across the Desert!" A compilation of 29 WA bands that will make you cry, make you bleed, make you smash stuff and possibly make you die.”

So yeah anyway, from humble beginnings and all that...

The CD is now sold out, I have been contemplating putting all the Sold Out stuff from our label up for download at some point so i guess if anyone is interested let me know. And if any band on the CD has a problem with their stuff being made free to download let me know as well.
